In our initials consultations, we will discuss the purpose and mood for the portrait, considering possible environments and backgrounds, clothing style, artistic style, and the space in which the portrait will hang.
Arrangements can made to have live sittings in studio with reference photos either chosen from existing photos or from the photos I would take during our session.
Types of Portraits Single or Group
Vignette Bust: A head study - often painted loosely with a raw spontaneity Head & Chest: Head, shoulder, and upper chest without hands showing 1/2 to 3/4 Figure: Seated or standing pose from head to belly or head to thigh with hands showing Full Length: Seated or standing pose from head to toe
Creation Time: The overall time to create a portrait ranges from a month to a year. A requested deadline will be honored if possible.
Special Requests: Backgrounds of special places, still-life memorabilia, and architecture can be worked into the composition.
Contemporary Sizes: Odd-sized compositions may be created to meet your space needs or suit your aesthetic taste. For instance, an extremely long painting, oval, or square.
Depiction Size: Most portrait compositions are 65% - 100% of life size.

Up to 25% extra charges for complicated backgrounds / elaborately patterned clothing / higher quality materials (lead primed linen panel vs acrylic primed stretched canvas)
25% initial deposit, remaining balance upon satisfactory completion and delivery.
A photography session is scheduled and different poses are tried while dozens of digital photographs are taken to bring out the personality of the subject. You will be presented with sketches to choose the final composition.
You will receive updates throughout the process with room for changes make comments/ requests for changes.
